THE NIGHT

Sitting by the night,

i saw the sky's twilight.

As words betray my insight,

my thoughts engulfed me outright.

I was drifted to a new world,

quiet new to my sight.

Blinded by a scintillating light,

i thought i saw an angel

and hoped that i was right.

Looking pure and shining bright,

it blessed and held me tight.

Suddenly i woke up and sat upright,

my dream had left me in a mesmerizing plight.

But i had never had such a blissful night...
